Fowler Indicator Stands & Bases 52-585-015-0 Editorial Review
The Fowler Full 52-585-015-0 Flex Arm Magnetic Base is a tool commonly used for setting wheel bearing run-out, however, its application extends to other fields like engineering and mechanics where parts and tools need a stable base to work with. The magnetic base has a 100 lbs. pull capability but its flaw is its inability to keep its shape when locked. A user expressed disappointment in the product as the stopper for the cable that runs through the beads does not hold up to tension hence the cable slips through it. However, another user had a positive experience with the product despite finding it a bit hard to get the holder tip close to the base and locked at the same time.
