Continental Test, Measure & Inspect Editorial Review
Continental 9001 Krikit Tension Gauge is a highly recommended tool for accurately measuring belt tensions, especially for Gates Carbon belt drive bikes. Users have noted its simple and effective design, which helps avoid over-tightening, thereby preserving the longevity of idlers and tensioner pulleys. The gauge provides consistent and even tension readings, making it ideal for precise adjustments. While it's great for bicycles, some users found it less suitable for other applications like band saw blades, highlighting its specific use case. Overall, it’s praised for its ease of use and reliability, especially for backyard mechanics adjusting mower and garden tractor belts.
