Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What is the composition of the YONEX Poly Tour Pro String?

Answer: The YONEX Poly Tour Pro String is made from high-quality polyester, which enhances durability and tension maintenance. This material is specifically designed to withstand the rigors of intense play, making it suitable for advanced players who frequently engage in heavy hitting. Additionally, the polyester construction provides excellent spin potential, allowing tennis players to achieve more control over their shots. In practice, you'll notice better ball pocketing and responsiveness, which are critical for achieving optimized performance during matches.
  • Question: What are the benefits of a 1.2 mm gauge string?

Answer: A 1.2 mm gauge string offers a perfect balance of durability and playability, making it an ideal choice for players looking to enhance their game. This thinner string allows for increased spin and better ball feel, which helps in executing more precise shots. While some may prefer thicker strings for longevity, the 1.2 mm gauge accommodates both intermediate and advanced players seeking aggressive spins and touch shots. In match situations, you'll find that a 1.2 mm string can enhance your overall performance, particularly on hard courts.
  • Question: What type of players should use the YONEX Poly Tour Pro String?

Answer: The YONEX Poly Tour Pro String is geared towards intermediate to advanced players who play regularly and are looking to improve their performance. Its robust polyester construction is designed for those who hit hard and require a string that can withstand high tension without losing its properties. If you thrive on spin and need a responsive string that complements your aggressive style, this is the right choice. Players who utilize a full swing and want to enhance their control and configuration during rallies will find this string exceptionally beneficial.
  • Question: How does the color of the string affect its performance?

Answer: The yellow color of the YONEX Poly Tour Pro String does not directly affect its performance, but it can impact visibility on the court. A bright color makes it easier for players to see the string movements during play, which can help in monitoring shot placement. In practice, this can enhance game awareness and improve shot accuracy. Additionally, the vibrant color adds a touch of style to your tennis gear and can contribute to a sense of confidence while playing.
  • Question: How long is the YONEX Poly Tour Pro String Reel?

Answer: The YONEX Poly Tour Pro String Reel is 200 meters long, providing ample material for multiple restring jobs. This length is ideal for avid players and stringers, as it allows for several setups without the need for frequent purchases. Having a string reel can not only be cost-effective but also ensures that players have a consistent string type that matches their playing style. For those who frequently compete or play casually, this reel length is particularly advantageous for maintaining performance across various rackets.
  • Question: What is the tension range suitable for the YONEX Poly Tour Pro String?

Answer: The YONEX Poly Tour Pro String is versatile and supports a wide tension range, typically between 20-30 kg. The tension you choose will depend on your playing style; lower tensions offer more power and a softer feel, while higher tensions provide more control and spin. By customizing the tension to your preference, you can optimize shot performance to match your unique gameplay. For players who enjoy experimenting with string tension, this flexibility allows for adjustments that can enhance your on-court strategies.
  • Question: Is the YONEX Poly Tour Pro String suitable for hybrid stringing?

Answer: Yes, the YONEX Poly Tour Pro String is an excellent choice for hybrid stringing setups. Hybrid stringing, which combines different types of strings, allows players to achieve a personalized balance between power and control. When paired with softer multifilament strings, the Poly Tour Pro can enhance durability and spin while retaining a comfortable feel. This combination is especially effective for players looking to maximize their strengths, as they can enjoy the best attributes of both string types.
  • Question: How does the YONEX Poly Tour Pro compare to other strings in terms of performance?

Answer: The YONEX Poly Tour Pro String is celebrated for its exceptional performance in the realm of polyester strings. Compared to other brands, it excels in tension maintenance, providing consistent play over time. Players often note its increased spin potential and precision, making it a top choice among competitive athletes. Additionally, its soft feel allows for better comfort during extended matches. These standout features make it a wise pick for those demanding high-quality performance from their strings.
  • Question: Can I use the YONEX Poly Tour Pro String for all types of courts?

Answer: Absolutely! The YONEX Poly Tour Pro String is suitable for all court surfaces, including hard courts, clay, and grass. Its durable polyester materials withstand various playing conditions, ensuring that you can maintain high performance regardless of the surface. Players find that it offers excellent traction on hard courts, while still providing the ability to slide and spin on clay.
